Students Learn about Career in Fire Service from Local Firefighter

Firefighter Marc-Anthony Castel of Ladder 2 in Baldwin recently spent the afternoon with students in Baldwin High School@Shubert’s Police Science course. He spoke of opportunities for graduating seniors in both the volunteer and career fire service and gave a tour of the fire engine used by the Baldwin Fire Department. Additional information was shared about the Emergency Medical Services world, more commonly known as EMS, including its rewards and demand. College opportunities were also explored.
